She did the best thing and based it on true events and turning points in her own life, instead of being inspired by nothing but profit. That said, whereas the original's message and execution was pretty darn subtle, here we have a loud, obnoxious message actually written in all caps, several times, in a decidedly grown-up voice. Although it's directed at children, who I suspect would be altogether bewildered and confused by this jumbled-up book, Saint-Simon does not have the playful, graceful, childlike prose and wonder that St-Ex perfected in his masterpiece.

In addition, she re-uses so much of the original text in trite ways, and so many situations and statements, that it sometimes reads like a High School writing exercise. I'm not commenting on her general writing style, but the way she takes much of the original text and merely tweaks the ending to fit her own specific scenes and dialog. All in all, she says some good things, and I definitely admire her inspiration. I just found the end product to be a bit questionable.
