Now that i have 7 installed onto the raid drive, i figured i could take out the other drive, yet when i do i get an error after the bios and raid screen that it could not detect a valid system drive.
It instructs me to restart, and get proper boot media. I can boot to it, everything is ship shape as you might say. I really dont understand this. I have tried to change bios settings to where they might work properly, but to no avail. Any suggestions Guru's? Im flat out of ideas. Thanks again for help. MileHighMilitia , Mar 26, What model of raid card is it? I have discovered that i may also disable the original drive through bios and have the same problems as when i physically disconnect it.
Now upon enabling the other drive, All that has changed is enabling this drive It now appears as if i were dual booting, with the boot options as Windows 7 and Windows 7, now which one is the right one? Well only with that other drive installed Any Ideas?!
Last edited: Mar 26, I did have an issue like this "back in the day" I don't know how to get to a raid bios with that card or even if there is one. Setting your cd rom as the 1st boot option It should be now that it's been created. Another question Is only one bootpath valid? Thats the thing, i dont want the other Hard drive in there.
I can get to the raid bios by pressing F4 during bootup, allowing me to create, and destroy raid sets. The drivers i have are the most recent available.
